As most of you know, my CD release party for Lightwave was this past Saturday. It went really well and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved.
Firstly, thanks to Jazz Alive and LAG Productions for hosting the event. Laura Gentry, without you I don't think I would have gotten the event off the ground. You are amazing! Aubry Johnson, thank you for MCing the event and for everything you are doing to help me get Lightwave out to the masses. You and The Jazz Half, are a tremendous asset to the local jazz scene.
Of course, the musicians. Dan, Steve and Anthony, you guys bring so much to the table. Energy, virtuosity, and humble natures make you a pleasure to play with and so easy to sound good over. Thank you all and cross your fingers that we can make this a regular thing.
To the audiance, with out your support there would be no live music. Thank you for braving the rain and coming downtown to see us work. I can not thank you enough for helping to make the night a great success.
Thanks to my family and close friends who made time to come to Cincinnati, or just to come downtown, and show your support for this project.
And finally my wife Vanessa. Thanks for everything that you do, from taking pictures to recording the gig, to designing the cover, to building the website. I am lucky to have married up. ;)
If you could not make it to the event, go get/update the Rewind podcast. Vanessa has made a new episode and will be adding a few more from the release over the next few days. She should have the online version of this episode up soon on the rewind page, for those of you who don't do the podcast thing. There will also be pictures and video soon.
